 The
Owners
Although it took several years to realize
their goal, Ivan Beauchamp and Aurèle
St. Jean, two entrepreneurs from Temagami,
Ontario recognized that white birch was
one of northern Ontario's most undervalued
and underutilized hardwood species. Their
hard work and perserverance is now paying
off with dividends, thanks to the realization
of Ontario's first and only 100% white birch
sawmill and re-manufacturing facility, which
opened its doors in June, 2004.
Temagami Forest Products goal is to become
a full service, value added manufacturing
facility specializing in white birch lumber
products, while creating employment opportunities
for the surrounding communities, and maintaining
a conscious respect for the environment
and the forest, as well as the people who
depend of the surrounding forested area.
Temagami Forest Products is in full production
and looking forward to serving and supplying
its consumers with semi-finished and finished
wood products.
The Mill

Operating on one 12 hour shift, 7 days per
week.
- 40,000 fbm/shift
- 14,600,000 fbm annual production capacity
- 4,000,000 fbm kiln dry capacity
Wood Supply
- 30,000 m3/yr supplied through a crown
(provincial) allocation of the Temagami
Forest Management unit
- 30,000 m3/yr supply agreement with private
landowners and surrounding SFL's
- All additional wood supply needs are
purchased on the open market
